Digital Villages (DigiVil) was a SK-AT INTERREG projekt for cross-border collaboration between Slovakia and Austria.
Duration: 01.07.2020 – 31.12.2022
Digital Village (DigiVil) had the objective to improve the cooperation between key players in regional innovation systems and thus advance the development of further digitisation approaches throughout the SKAT programme region (Slovakia, Austria).
Through new forms of cooperation – for example between the municipality and the university – and knowledge transfer from the university to the region, the potentials offered by digitisation were seized and evaluated in cross-border cooperation within the framework of focus groups and, above that, implemented in pilot activities. The results of these pilot projects and the evaluation and development workshops were summarised in a transferable guideline and catalogue which created the basis of a know-how transfer to other communities and regions as well.
Finally, the strategic anchoring of the project was to be ensured with the development of a sustainable concept for a cross-border incubator network.
